Below I have listed a fewFree Quit Smoking Tips to help you kick the habit for good.
If you are reading this right now then you are probably online searching for tips on how to quit smoking for
yourself or maybe for a loved one. Well, good because you have came to the right place! My website contains
information about how to stop smoking as well as my free ebook about how I quit smoking cigarettes for good after
nine years of being a smoker. I didn't just quit and then start again in a month; I have been smoke-free for over
seven years now.
Of course, the final time that I stopped smoking was not the first time that I had tried. I tried and failed several times before actually figuring out the right method that worked for me. If you are a smoker then I'm sure you can
understand the pain and frustration that one goes through when attempting to quit. The odds are that you have
probably tried to quit yourself before, or maybe even stopped smoking for a period of time and then started again.
If this sounds familiar, well don't worry because your are not alone. Each and every year millions of people battle
with the grips of nicotine addiction. What makes quitting smoking even harder is that other than just physical
nicotine addiction that you develop, you also must fight a tough physiological addiction. Feel free to download my free ebook to read my story of how I quit smoking. In the meantime, here are just a few tips to get you started on the road to a new smoke-free you:
Plan a quit smoking date and mark it on your calendar. Make this date no later than a few days from the time you first plan it so that you can start while you are still serious and motivated.
Throw out all of your smoking paraphernalia. This includes all of your ashtrays and lighters.
Wash all of your clothes, sheets, and curtains to get ride of that nasty smoke smell.
Identify your triggers that create your cravings and prepare to develop new habits or routines in place of smoking a cigarette. For example, if you always smoke immediately after eating, try chewing a piece of gum or using a toothpick right after your meal to keep your hands and mouth busy.
Try to avoid other smokers while they are smoking. This will help lower the temptation of lighting up. Eventually you will be able to be around people smoking without it bothering you, but for the first few months it will be tough.
These are just a couple of tip to help you the quitting process. As I mention in my free book, to be truly successful in quitting smoking you must master the mental game. Stopping cigarettes requires a strong
mind and mastering self communication, in other words, managing the thoughts in your head effectively. The physical
part of the addiction can be managed with aids such as the nicotine patch, but the rest is purely up to you.
Good Luck!
